"The word Khomanani is a Tsonga word meaning caring together. The Khomanani campaign is run by the AIDS Communication Team (ACT), a consortium responsible for the Department of Health's HIV/AIDS and TB information, education and communications media. The aim of the campaign is to encourage safer and healthier sexual behaviour, to encourage care and support in the community and to encourage voluntary counselling and testing to help people understand their HIV/AIDS status as a first step towards keeping themselves healthy, amongst many other aims. This particular poster is promoting the uptake of antenatal HIV testing, so as measures can be undertaken to help reduce the risk of HIV transmission to infants."
