This is a picture of the AIDS ribbon on the UN Secretariat building against the New York skyline. The red AIDS ribbon on the UN building was a symbol 'lighting the way in the battle against HIV/AIDS'. The AIDS ribbon was formed by a temporary attachment of red plastic film to 550 designated windows on both east and west sides of the building on the nights of 23-25 June 2001.
